One of the most significant advantages of online casino gambling is the range of casino games available for us to enjoy. As the popularity of online gambling increases, so does the range of gambling games being offered by the online casinos, some of which are relatively new forms of the more well established casino games. One of these is Omaha Poker, which is a prime example of a new gambling game that has been designed to provide a slightly different twist on the standard community card poker game of Texas Hold’em. Poker gambling has seen a massive increase in popularity since online casino gambling has become widely available, and Texas Hold’em has become the most popular form of the game. The Omaha poker format has been designed to build on that popularity by also using five community cards which are available to all the players, but instead of two hole cards there are four in Omaha poker. We have detailed the rules of Omaha poker in our casino games pages, and if you are a fan of poker gambling we think you will almost certainly enjoy Omaha poker gambling. The most important element of Omaha poker, as distinct from Texas Hold’em  is that each player must use two, and only two of the hole cards in their final hand. This rule totally changes the concept of what constitutes a good hand, in that three of a kind in the hole cards cannot be used in the showdown, plus of course if you are holding three of a kind, the chances of the fourth card being dealt in the community cards is less likely. One other consequence of this rule which we should point out to gamblers who are more used to gambling on Texas Hold’em poker, is that it is not possible for two flushes of different suits to occur in the showdown, because at least three of the community cards must be used. Omaha poker gambling often encourages more gambling in the early rounds than Texas Hold’em, but it is another casino game which should be played in free play mode before gambling with real money even for experienced poker gamblers.
