Firm favourites are emerging in the GAA sports

GAA sports gamblers in Ireland have witnessed a fine weekend of sport at Croke Park last weekend, with both football and hurling on the agenda. Kilkenny Cats beat Waterford to reach their sixth successive GAA Hurling All Ireland Senior Championship Final to be held at Croke park on September 4th, where they will meet the winners of next weekend’s second semi- final between Tipperary and Dublin. Irish online sports gamblers will note that current champions Tipperary are such firm favourites for this match that Paddy Power have them at 1/16, with Dublin at 9/1, so it’s odds on for a repeat of last year’s final. Tipperary will want to repeat their victory over Kilkenny last year but hurling gamblers will be only too aware that Kilkenny have been champions on 32 occasions and won four in a row from 2006 to 2009, so it is almost certainly going to be a close game. Meanwhile Dublin progressed to the semi-finals of the GAA Football Senior Championship, with a comprehensive win over Tyrone to join the other three Provincial Champions, Donegal, Kerry and Mayo in the semis. Irish football gamblers appear to believe that the final this year will be a Kerry v Dublin affair, which if it happens will pitch the two sides with the most championships between them against each other. First of course Kerry will need to beat Mayo on 21st August, a game for which they are firm favourites with Paddy Power at 2/7, with Mayo at 7/2. The second semi-final will be on the 28th August with Dublin facing Donegal. GAA football gamblers have plenty of time to go online and place their bets on both semi-finals, and may well even want to forecast the overall winner at this early stage, when the odds may be better.
